The online course and the driving lessons. Same school.

You can begin driver education at 15 and apply for a permit at 15½ once the course is complete. There’s no upper age limit — plenty of our students are adults.

You pay for the course directly on the site. We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or other debit card options. (Make sure to get the permission of the adult whose card you’re using!) After you input your registration information, you’re linked to a secure page where payment is quick and effortless. The site is encrypted, making your online purchases completely safe.

This online course is designed to be equivalent to a classroom-based driver education curriculum that provides 30 hours of instruction. However, an online course allows you the convenience of completing the course on your schedule. The computer tracks your completed chapters as you proceed through the program. If you log out and then sign back in, you’ll be taken to our “Student Center” (table of contents) page. There you’ll be able to continue with the course right where you left off. You’ll even be able to access completed chapters for review.

Yes. You must pass a 50-question, multiple-choice final exam, correctly answering at least 80% of the questions presented, in order to successfully complete the course.

Each full chapter is followed by a short quiz comprised of five study questions designed to make sure you understand the material and which will help you to prepare for the final exam. You must correctly answer at least four of these questions, as well as a Personal Identity Validation question, in order to proceed to the next chapter.

Plus, you’ll always be able to review completed chapters by clicking on the chapter titles in the “Student Center” (table of contents).

Personal Identity Validation questions are used to help fulfill the DMV requirement that the person completing a driver education program is the person who registered for the course. During the registration process, you’ll be asked to answer a set of questions, and those answers will be stored in our database. You’ll be asked those questions again periodically as you proceed through the course, and you will not be allowed to proceed with the course until you can answer in the same way that you did at registration.

You may attempt the final exam as many times as necessary in order to pass it. However, exams are randomly generated from a large pool of questions, so you won’t see the same questions again. Make sure you learn and know the information presented in the course—your safety on the road may depend on it!

Graduates of the driver education program receive a paper Certificate of Completion directly from our office. Normally this process can take anywhere from 5 – 10 business days, but expedited mailing options are available. You may also order a duplicate copy of your Certificate for a fee.

Please note: if your Certificate does not arrive in 10 business days, please contact the office and we will happily send you a replacement. If you request one after 30 days, a duplicate fee will apply.
